We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Broker to join our Brokerage team within the Contracts and Commissioning service in Adult Social Care.
You will be highly organised and an excellent communicator who can quickly gain trust and confidence of colleagues and internal and external providers. The ability to build effective working relationships quickly is essential to this role.
The Brokerage Service is a well-established team, responsible for sourcing care packages to meet assessed health and social care needs for adults across Northumberland ensuring they feel safe, healthy, happy, and independent. As a Broker, you will play an integral role in sourcing care packages and developing and maintaining information on local care providers.
As part of the Contract and Commissioning team, Brokerage work with Adult Social Care teams to improve outcomes for people, working closely with both internal and external providers. Brokers also work closely with health colleagues to support safe hospital discharges for all Northumberland residents.
This presents demands on the Brokerage Service so time management skills, the ability to prioritise, use your own initiative and manage your workload effectively will be key. The ability to work with spreadsheets and client databases and to assimilate figures and information quickly will be fundamental.
We require a good team player who is enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable with a high level of communication skills (both written and verbal).

This is a full time; permanent position and we are offering a starting salary of £24,294 (rising to £25,979 - Band 4). The office base is County Hall in Morpeth, and there are some opportunities to also work agile.
