Job Description: SEND Administrative Assistant
Contract Type Part-time / Fixed Term Contract (to be discussed with hiring manager)
Salary: £24,294 – £25,979
Location: County Hall and remote working

Brief Description:
Northumberland County Council's Statutory Assessment and Review Team seeks a SEND Administrative Assistant to support EHCP Coordinators and Officers. This role demands excellent IT and organisational skills, a commitment to confidentiality, and clear communication with stakeholders. The ability to prioritise and meet deadlines under pressure is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to EHCP Coordinators and Officers.
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information related to individuals.
  • Serve as a point of contact for parents, schools, and professionals, communicating clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Assist in coordinating meetings, maintaining calendars, and organising documentation.
  • Support the team in delivering high-quality services to children, young people, and families.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve common goals.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures governing SEND administrative processes.
