Performance and Development Officer (Education) 

  1. Full time Band 5  

 

The role:

It's what we base most of our decisions on and this is why we need an experienced analyst who is looking to continue their career at Northumberland County Council.  

Are you ready to improve children's lives by providing the data that the service needs?   

 

We are advertising for a permanent role within the Children’s Services Performance team: 

  1. Based within our Education Data Unit Performance Team – this is a full-time, band 5 position (37 hours per week) to develop and provide data insight and intelligence to the Education and Children’s Services senior managers and to support the local authority. 

  1. Develop and provide meaningful data to keep team managers and senior managers up to date with performance in their area. Complete statutory returns and deal with external partners (Department of Education). 

 

For this position, we would like you to have:  

 

  • Proven experience of analysing data 

  • Some experience of using bespoke software (such as Tableau / Power BI) 

  • the ability to work with a level of autonomy  

  • experience of working within a busy team  

  • strong initiative, be pro-active and have a can-do attitude  

  • a keen eye for accuracy  

  • an aptitude for responding to queries in a friendly manner
