Employment Location: Northumberland Coast AONB with an office base at Alnwick Lionheart Depot
Please note: that successful applicants must be able to attend an interview/assessment centre on Monday 17th July 2023. This role will start in September 2023.
Please note: This role contains 2 block release weeks in Bridgwater. All travel and accommodation costs will be covered.

The Service
In order to conserve and enhance the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a small team works closely with landowners, government departments, parish councils, local communities and other stakeholders.
The role
We are looking for a Coast and Countryside Apprentice to join our small team and help look after the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) - one of England’s finest landscapes.
As part of this exciting and varied apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to work alongside the AONB staff team and volunteers on a range of conservation and environmental tasks and projects on the stunning Northumberland Coast. From dry-stone walling and hedge planting to botanical, barn owl and butterfly surveys, dealing with invasive species to leading volunteer tasks, the role is wide and varied. You will also have time to study to achieve the apprenticeship standard.

Essential requirements:
● GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/c or equivalent)
● Must be willing to attend off site/virtual apprenticeship training.
