Northumberland County council are seeking to appoint a Children Not In School co-ordinator.   

 

The postholder will support the Education Welfare Team to undertake a range of administrative tasks relating to children not in school, including children missing from education and Elective Home Education 


Education Welfare is based within the Virtual School and works to ensure that the Local Authority’s statutory duties and other responsibilities for safeguarding children in relation to school attendance, elective home education, children missing education, child employment and performance licensing are carried out to the highest possible standard 


The postholder will report to the Principal Education Welfare Officer and will be based at Northumbria House, Cramlington.  The successful applicant will be expected to work term time only
