Support Worker – Wansbeck Supported Living Service

Hatfield Chase, Bedlington
Part-time, 30 hours per week | Permanent
NCC Band 4 salary: £26,403 – £28,142 FTE
(£21,407 – £22,817 pro rata | £13.69 per hour + night/weekend enhancements)

At Wansbeck Supported Living Service, we empower adults with learning disabilities and personality disorders, some of whom may display behaviours of concern, to live independently in their own homes and lead fulfilling, meaningful lives.

What We Do

We are a CQC registered service, with ambition to achieve an outstanding rating, which provides 24/7 person centred support, ensuring each individual is able to thrive and live a life they choose. Our work includes:

  • Supporting with personal care and daily living tasks
  • Helping with meal planning and dietary needs
  • Encouraging participation in fun activities
  • Promoting community access, social time and new experiences
  • Helping service usersstay connected with their family and friends
  • Creating opportunities for independence, confidence and joy

Who We’re Looking For

If you are caring, compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting others, we would love to hear from you.

You should have:

  • Experience in a care setting (ideally with individuals with learning disabilities and behaviours of concern)
  • Flexibility to work a 14 week rolling rota - including early, late and night shifts, along with 3 x12 hour shifts
  • A desire to develop your skills and grow within a supportive team

It would also be great if you:

  • Hold an NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Have a full UK driving licence

This role is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
