Sea Lodge - Service Manager (Clinical)  

 

Opened in 2006, Northumberland Supported Living Service (Sea Lodge) is a CQC registered service, currently rated as Good, which provides nurse led support to two adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. 


Service users have secured tenancy agreements and live in a large, adapted bungalow within its own grounds overlooking a private beach in Northumberland.  


We are looking for a RNLD (Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities) who has post registration experience to undertake the role, responsibilities and tasks of the Registered Manager as required by CQC in line with the Fundamental Standards and Regulations.

The role will include:

  • Managing a full complement of 4.2 FTE registered nurses and 15.3 FTE social care staff. 

  • Facilitating and coordinating clinical practice within the service in accordance with operational policy to ensure high standards of care and treatment are maintained.

  • You will need to have knowledge of the clinical needs of adults with learning disabilities including the treatment of behavioural disorders, mental health conditions and have a sound understanding of risk management. 

  • You will be committed to keeping service users safe by providing a safe and enabling environment for them to live in.  

  • You will be expected to demonstrate an exemplary practice model to staff. Including delegating work appropriately, providing clear guidance and motivation to staff to support them to achieve service objectives and quality standards.  

Requirements of this role:

  • Must have a RNLD qualification and post registration experience in a similar setting 
  • Must undertake fit persons interview to become Registered Manager with CQC 
  • Able to work shift rotas, including weekends and night-time working which might change at short notice. 
  • Able to meet the transport requirements of the role
