THE SERVICE
Northumberland Skills delivers employment and skills support to residents across Northumberland delivering programmes including the DWP Restart Scheme and the Building Better Futures programme. The service is recruiting a Quality and Finance Officer that will provide support to the Business Managers within the team. The role will be based within the Southeast of the County but will also work across Northumberland Skills campuses in the North and West as and when required.
ROLE OF THE JOB
On a day-to-day basis you will be the key point of contact within the service regarding compliance queries and will ensure robust quality checks are carried out daily within participant records to meet employment programme quality assurance specifications. This will include quality assurance file checks, checking and driving programme customer service standards, along with completing monthly Employment Adviser file checks to meet the standards required within the programme delivery models. This will ensure best practice and contractual compliance KPI’s are met, as agreed within programme compliance frameworks.
You will represent the team in supply chain quality meetings and forums and will then work with colleagues within the team to update them with any appropriate compliance and guidance changes and make sure that new processes are embedded correctly; therefore, you should be comfortable promoting a culture of continuous improvement so that contractual specification and compliance is an integral part of the team’s achievement of high performance.
You will be responsible for providing robust claims and gathering supporting employment evidence to external stakeholders to ensure prompt payment of programme outcomes and income ensuring the mitigation of any financial penalties or extrapolation to NCC.
We are looking for a flexible individual who can work in a fast-paced environment, and mange a small team of staff and it is essential that you are able to build excellent working relationships with NCC colleagues, external partners and stakeholders including Job Centre Plus.
