Payroll Development Officer

Full Time | Permanent | Hybrid working

ROLE OF THE JOB

You will be working on a small development team within the larger payroll team. 

You will be responsible for development of the payroll system both to make improvements and in response to changes in legislation, delivering training and liaising with other departments to improve the payroll function. 

The ideal candidate would have experience in both payroll and system development; they should be able to take on work in unfamiliar areas and feel comfortable with self-guided learning/training. 

The team currently works on a hybrid model with a 1 day per week requirement to attend County Hall. This could change as service requirements evolve.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

  • Level 2 qualification or equivalent
  • Solid understanding of Payroll
  • Skilled with various I.T systems
  • Currently have or willing to work towards CIPP qualification
