Highways Development Management Technician

ROLE OF THE JOB 

You will assist in the delivery of technical and administrative support in respect of planning applications and assist in the provision of consistent and proactive highways advice. You will be part of an efficient, effective and customer focussed team, involved in providing statutory advice from scheme inception that prioritises the delivery of sustainable development in accordance with the emerging Northumberland Local Plan and national and local planning policies and guidance.

The post holder will work within the technical team to advise the Local Planning Authority of the highway and road implications of planning applications within monitored timescales.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB 

You should have a good general education with at least 5 GCSE's or equivalent including English and Math's and experience of planning applications, vehicular crossing processes, financial issues and administrative support work. You should have good written and oral communication skills and be conscientious with a flexible attitude to work.

Full, clean driving license is required.
