An opportunity has arisen to join the Northumberland Early Years Team on a permanent contract in the role of Early Years Consultant. 
 
The successful candidate will work as part of the Early Years Team, providing support for early years settings, including schools and private providers, to deliver high quality early years provision for children in Northumberland. 
 
Although part of a team, this role will also entail independent working in an agreed locality area. This will include: 
 

Providing support and challenge through visits and digital communication systems. 

Delivering training at both a countywide and a bespoke level for early years providers.   

Offering consultancy support for schools and PVI settings as part of the Early Years Team SLA offer. 

Identifying, coordinating and implementing support plans for providers who have been identified as a priority setting. 

Providing reports to school leaders, setting managers and where appropriate, NCC senior leaders. 

Analysing and reporting on key data linked to outcomes for children, including specific groups, and using data analysis to inform team priorities. 

Working alongside other professionals in the Early Years Team to implement agreed actions to support quality improvement. 

Working in collaboration with professional partners, providing early years specialist input where appropriate, to support integrated working across NCC services. 

Taking the lead for an agreed responsibility area.
