Curriculum Lead SEN- We are looking for an experienced Curriculum Lead to work across Northumberland, you will contribute positively, consistently and effectively to the ongoing development of the curriculum in all the service’s campuses to meet local resident and employer needs.

You will have responsibility for all aspects of delivery, quality assurance, performance, financial outcomes along with health and safety and safeguarding of staff and learners within a specified area.

Job Purpose: To lead on a curriculum area strand and responsibility to deliver the management outcomes, quality and business development targets of the area. 

To provide interpretation, advice and guidance on the operation and implementation of external and statutory requirements in relation to the wellbeing of people, requiring the adoption of internal policies and procedures. 

Use current knowledge and LMI to plan a robust deliverable Curriculum offer within a planning period that will exceed the normal 12-month cycle. To provide management and leadership for a learning Campus. 

To lead a programme theme for any inspections and audits. Ensure knowledge is current on funding rules and eligibility, national priorities, labour market intelligence and sectoral needs, and that the appropriate syllabus and standards are used in devising and agreeing the curriculum plan. 

Make appropriate curriculum propositions to the senior management team in order to secure appropriate levels of resources and delivery of the plan. 

Revise the plans as directed to ensure priorities are met. 

Direct Line management of Permanent and Sessional lecturers. 

Indirect -Leadership role of a programme theme through collaboration with non-line managed permanent and sessional staff Regular work with other services and providers, external suppliers, colleagues from Northumberland Skills, public bodies, external organisations, auditors and inspectors.

Carrying out of observations of teaching with staff and feeding back on quality improvement matters
