Northumberland County Council’s Staff Bank provides a pool of highly skilled temporary workers who are looking for a long-term placement, or who want to work flexibly within the council. If a team needs support due to sickness, common staff shortages, or general vacancies, they call upon registered bank members to fill available assignments. These can be filled via a long-term assignment for up to 12 months or on an ad hoc basis.
We are looking for a Cook to join our friendly team at Kyloe House, who can:
- You will be responsible for running the kitchen and doing most of the cooking.
- You will have an influence on menus and will be preparing some items fresh each day.
We are looking for someone with energy, enthusiasm and a passion for providing good, locally source food and excellent customer service.

Requirements of the job:
- You must have a basic food hygiene certificate and knowledge of the tasks and operation of catering tools and equipment.
- You should be able to provide evidence of working in a kitchen, food preparation and cooking experience

The Staff Bank is managed by the Temporary Staffing Team, who you can contact via temporarystaffing@northumberland.gov.uk.
