Catering Assistant (County Hall)

We have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Catering Assistant to join the County Kitchen team, based at County Hall, Morpeth.
 
The role:
The successful applicant will be required to serve staff and customers in our Restaurant and Coffee Cart, as well as helping with hospitality and events.

Duties will include food preparation and basic cooking, serving customers, replenishing fridges and displays, use of a traditional barista style coffee machine, cleaning duties as required, sorting deliveries, washing pots and dishes and cash handling using an electronic till system.
 
A working knowledge of a catering environment, including HACCP, food safety and health and safety principles is preferred.
 
This role is 20 hours per week, varied between 8am and 4pm Monday to Friday. This may include additional hours to cover holiday and sickness in the team.
