ROLE OF THE JOB
We have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Catering Assistant to join the Facilities team at County Hall in Morpeth.
At this current time the building is going through a complete refurbishment programme which includes the restaurant and kitchen areas. The successful applicant will be required to serve customers and staff at the Restaurant, Coffee Cart and hospitality in meeting rooms, within County Hall.
Duties include food preparation and basic cooking, serving customers, replenishing fridges and displays, use of a traditional barista style coffee machine, cleaning duties as required, sorting deliveries, washing pots and dishes and cash handling using an electronic till system.
A working knowledge of a catering environment, including HACCP, food safety and health and safety principles is preferred.
This post is 20 hours per week.
Working times are between 7am and 5pm daily, Monday to Friday.
