Cafe and Information Assistant

Job Information

Northumberland County Council’s Staff Bank provides a pool of highly skilled temporary workers who are looking for a long-term placement, or who want to work flexibly within the council. If a team needs support due to sickness, common staff shortages, or general vacancies, they call upon registered bank members to fill available assignments. These can be filled via a long-term assignment for up to 12 months or on an ad hoc basis. 

We are looking for multiple Café & Information Assistants to join our team at Druridge Bay Country Park. 


Duties to include: - Working front of house providing customer service and providing the public with information about our parks and the local area, food preparation, cleaning of work areas, serving customers and any other related tasks. 

 

Variable hours with weekends and bank holidays available. Pay is £11.79 per hour, higher rate for weekends / bank holidays. Shifts are offered on a Ad Hoc basis. 

 

No experience needed; previous café work preferred however all training will be provide

The Staff Bank is managed by the Temporary Staffing Team, who you can contact via temporarystaffing@northumberland.gov.uk. You will be subject to Northumberland County Council's pre-employment checking process which includes a minimum of 2 references covering the past 3 years, health clearance and proof of right to work in the UK and depending on the assignment you may be required to undertake a DBS check.
