The Facilities Management team are responsible for ensuring that buildings and their services fully meet the needs of visitors and staff who work in them. The team provide a professional and technical management service to support key operational areas across the county. The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced team of staff, supporting a range of administrational tasks around facilities related activities. 

The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Facilities Management Team for a Business Administrative Assistant. Applicants will need experience of using spreadsheets and IT systems. They must be willing to undertake duties to gain experience in an office-based Business Administrative role within a manual services team. All duties will be supported by the Facilities Admin Support Officer. 

The responsibilities of the role are to support and engage with different parts of the organisation and interact with internal or external customers. With a focus on adding value, the role of business administrator contributes to the efficiency of the organisation, through support of functional areas, working across teams and resolving issues as requested.

The flexibility and responsiveness required will allow you to develop a wide range of skills. The business administrator is expected to deliver their responsibilities efficiently and with integrity – showing a positive attitude. The role involves demonstrating strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and adopting a proactive approach to developing skills. The business administrator is also expected to show initiative, managing time and priorities, problem-solving skills and decision-making.
