Job Title-

Administration Assistant for the Northumberland High Incidence Needs Team.

Contracted Hours-

0.4fte (2 days per week (Thursday and Friday).

Fixed term position for 12 months from start of contract.

The Service-

The High Incidence Needs Team (HINT) is made up of four individual SEND support services (Autism Support Service, Speech and Language Support Service, Specific Learning Difficulties Support Service and the Emotional Wellbeing and Behaviour Support Service) who provide a range of services into schools and other educational settings throughout Northumberland. The four support services receive administrative support from the HINT Admin. Team. The day-to-day operational management and organisation of HINT Admin Team is the responsibility of two part-time HINT Office Managers who in turn report to the High Incidence Needs Team Manager. The HINT admin service operates from a centralised base in Cramlington.


The role-

The role of the Northumberland High Incidence Needs Admin Team is to provide administrative and clerical support to the HINT Educational Support Services.

We are looking for a person with some experience of working in an administrative role and who will be able to:

· Provide general administrative support to ensure the smooth and effective running of the High Incidence Needs Team on a day-to-day basis.

· Maintain and implement HINT referral procedures.

· Input service information onto our central database.

· Take responsibility, under the guidance of the Office Manager, for the timely procurement of office supplies and equipment following procurement protocol.

· Act as first point of contact for service users and if required use your knowledge as necessary to signpost to other disciplines, departments and agencies.

· Provide administrative and organisational support to other staff working within HINT.

· Arrange venues for meetings and training as required.

· Comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, confidentiality and data protection.
