An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Administrative Assistant to join our Integrated Business Support team. You will work as part of a team to assist with the organisation and provision of support by undertaking a range of administrative and financial tasks across the range of services which sit within the Public Health, Inequalities and Stronger Communities Directorate. This will include maintaining information systems, ordering and processing of invoices, arranging meetings and minute taking, monitoring and maintaining stock levels and the administration of public health funerals. You should have excellent communication skills and be organised and efficient. You should have skills in using office applications on a computer and have considerable previous experience in a similar role covering a broad range of support tasks.
The role will be based in County Hall, Morpeth although Northumberland County Council's 'WorkSmart' initiative provides agile working options for staff. As a large service which spans the whole of Northumberland, from time to time you will be required to work away from your usual work base and sometimes out of hours. The post is full time, 37 hours per week.
