ROLE OF THE JOB
The Waste Systems Administrator role sits within the Technical Team which supports Neighbourhood Services via data analysis. The successful applicant will have a wide range of responsibilities aimed at improving services for residents and enabling efficient use of resources for colleagues.
Responsibilities will include developing KPIs and other performance measures, developing and implementing the systems for data capture, scrutiny, analysis and interrogation of performance data, regular reporting and communicating findings to a variety of audiences, and other project-based work.
The successful candidate will contribute to work across waste management, grounds maintenance, winter maintenance, parks maintenance and other related areas.
This vacancy is offered on a Fixed Term basis until 31/12/2025.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
- A high standard of general education (minimum NVQ 3/A Level standard) is essential, with relevant technical qualifications or experience being advantageous.
- The successful candidate must demonstrate an aptitude for data analysis, data science or data engineering, either through experience or education.
- An active awareness of current issues facing environmental services and local government.
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of continued professional development.
- Experience of working with large datasets and the ability to maintain a high level of focus with minimal supervision are all essential.
