ROLE OF THE JOB
To lead on the reduction of external hire spend by analysing vehicle hire data, optimising fleet utilisation, identifying trends, and supporting business decisions with data-driven insights. To work closely with the hire desk team, fleet management, user departments and finance to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
You’ll be acting as the lead role in analyzing current hire usage, utilization rates and customer demand to identify and present inefficiencies and cost savings to senior management.
The council operates over 750 vehicles and support a wide range of front line services such as Waste, Neighbourhood Services and Highways Maintenance.
Remote working/County Hall, Morpeth
This role is offered on a Fixed Term basis until 30/04/2026
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
- Degree in Data Analytics, Business, Logistics, or a related field
- Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in vehicle hire, transport, or logistics
- Experience in the vehicle rental or fleet management industry
- Experience of Vehicle GPS tracking software
- A track record of completed projects
- Creating project plans, schedules, and timelines
