Team Manager - Triage and Contact Team

Job Information

There is an opportunity for a Team Manager to join Northumberland First Contact Triage and Contact Team.  You will be responsible for managing the social workers responding to contacts in the Front door.  The Team manager will need to have experience in working with partners across all agencies. Providing support and guidance to professionals and public who are concerned for children’s safety or seeking support. You will need to have excellent understanding of thresholds and confidence in your decision making.  

You will be able to build on the effective and strong multi-agency partnerships that place children at the forefront of social work support. We are looking for managers to provide effective leadership and role model good practice that offers guidance and support to the social work team in working with children and families in need and in crisis.  

The team responds to contact and referrals and protection enquiries and those at immediate risk and assess those children in need to identify the best support for families and children.

You will contribute to the work of the MASH.

You should hold a relevant Social Work qualification such as the Social Work Degree, DipSW, CQSW or CSS and be registered with the SWE.
