This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced social worker or an existing team manager. We are looking for someone with post qualification experience, and experience of supervising/mentoring other staff.

What makes the role unique? 

This is a completely new role within adult social care. It is a specific role for a peripatetic team manager. The peripatetic team manager will report directly to the Principal Social Worker (PSW) and will be based at County Hall, Morpeth. The peripatetic team manager will work across the County as a support to existing team managers, as and when necessary. The other main priority for this post is to undertake quality assurance work, deputise for the PSW and lead on quality projects.

  • The successful candidate should have experience of supervising and mentoring staff.
  • The successful candidate will lead on quality assuring social work practice
  • The successful candidate will need to have strong leadership skills andthe ability to have a flexible approach to working across the County
  • The successful candidate will continue to promote a strong learning culture across the organisation
  • The successful candidate willdemonstratestrategic skills to link the work of the team manager role to improve quality assurance standards.

For this position you must have the following:  

 

  • Degree in Social Work & registered with Social Work England 
  • Experience of supervising or mentoring staff
  • Post-Qualifying Experience e.g. PG Certificatemodules
  • It is an essential requirement of the role that the post holder has a valid UK driving licence and is either a car ownerorcanuseacar for work purposes.
