Social Worker - Northumberland Substance & Alcohol Team, Adult Social Care – Fixed Term until July 2026, Full Time (37 hours).
Salary Range £39,862 - £44,075
Northumberland's Substance and Alcohol Team (SaAT) are looking to recruit a passionate and motivated Social Worker, to join the team to deliver high quality services across the Northumberland area.
The team provides an integrated holistic approach to prioritising support to individuals aged 18 years and over working closely with partner agencies including drug & alcohol services, mental health practitioners, health, police and social care. The team will complete joint assessments with partner agencies, identify interventions, responding to crisis situations and working with individuals to improve outcomes. This will include considering residential rehab for some clients. The team will sit alongside the Intensive Social Worker Mental Health Team and work with partner agencies to identify risks and interventions to support adults in the community.

It is essential that you have a clear understanding of the Care Act and the Local Authorities statutory duties.

Essential requirements:
- Degree in Social Work (or equivalent), applicants must hold a Social Work England registration.
- Applicants must have completed the ASYE programme
- Due to the nature of this role, it is an essential requirement that the post holder has a valid driving licence and has access to a car they can use for work purposes
