Northumberland Adolescent Service is nationally recognised as an excellent model of practice for working with and meeting the needs of adolescent young people and we are now recruiting!  

We are looking for enthusiastic Social Workers to join us.  You will be based within the 14+ Team, part of Northumberland Adolescent Service, working specifically with children and young people between the ages of 14 to 18 years.  Northumberland was recently recognised as Outstanding by OFSTED, and you will be joining a dynamic and exciting service with a range of specialist teams that wrap around each child, young person and family that you will work with. This includes our Accommodation Team, Cared for Children & Leavers Team, Youth Justice Team, Exploitation Team (which includes unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, Child to Parent Violence and Abuse, Violence Against Women and Girls & Missing), Sorted Substance Misuse Team and the Health Hub.  Each Team is creative and flexible in their approach, they can adapt to meet the specific and holistic needs of each and every one we support.  If you have a skill and passion for relational social work practice, then the 14+ Team will be the team for you! 

The team is dynamic and fast paced and works with young people aged 14+ 

You will be supported by skilled, passionate and supportive Team Managers and colleagues in a settled and stable team.  Northumberland provides you with an environment where social work can flourish, with high support and high challenge.  We strive to keep caseloads low; we enable practitioners to have the time and space to meet deadlines but also spend time with young people and their families developing meaningful relationships. 

We are seeking suitably qualified experienced social workers with frontline Social Work experience who can deliver consistency, energy and passion to make a difference to children, young people & families' lives.

This is a full-time, permanent position based at County Hall, Morpeth to provide a countywide service.
