Location: Tynedale House, Blyth
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £45,091 - £49,282
Working Pattern: Flexible hours, including out-of-hours cover 

Job Summary 
We’re looking for a passionate and visionary leader to take on the role of Registered Manager at Tynedale House, a residential care home in Blyth that’s proudly rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing team in a service recognised for excellence and compassion. You’ll champion quality care, ensure full compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards, and cultivate a safe, empowering environment where both service users and staff thrive. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Fulfil the role of Registered Manager in line with CQC and Fundamental Standards. 
  • Develop and implement service aims that align with corporate objectives and budgetary frameworks. 
  • Lead by example, providing guidance, motivation, and support to staff to achieve service excellence. 
  • Ensure effective care planning and promote user participation in service development. 
  • Maintain a safe, hygienic, and nurturing environment for service users and their families. 
  • Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns, ensuring appropriate action is taken. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to deliver person-centred care. 
  • Oversee medication procedures and ensure compliance with medical and service protocols. 
  • Manage budgets, workforce planning, recruitment, and staff development. 
  • Deliver and support in-house training aligned with National Minimum Standards. 
  • Represent the service at professional meetings and contribute to service development projects. 
  • Ensure the unit operates effectively outside of standard office hours and during emergencies. 

What you’ll bring: 

  • NVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care or equivalent (e.g. CQSW, CSS, DipSW) 
  • Registered Manager Award 
  • In-depth knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards and current inspection frameworks 
  • Recent experience in a senior management role within adult social care 
  • Flexible, cooperative, and adaptable to change 
  • Collaborative team player with integrity and strong ethical values
