We are looking to recruit a Service Administration and Finance Officer to join the Regeneration Finance and Performance Team within the Economic Development and Growth Service. 

 

The successful applicant will organise and manage the provision of administration support to senior colleagues by undertaking a wide range of administrative tasks and provide financial support to the Finance and Claims Officer. You will work as part of a team of eleven full and part time staff, responsible for the financial management, monitoring and reporting of externally funded projects being delivered within both Northumberland and the wider North East and Borderlands areas. 

 

We require an enthusiastic team player who is a good administrator, has excellent communication skills and an eye for detail. You will have the ability to quickly build working relationships within the Team and across the Economic Development and Growth Service. 

 

The Service:

The post is located within the Economy and Regeneration Service, whose core purpose is to deliver the Council’s priority of Economic Growth. This includes the influencing of national and regional policy and co-ordinating and driving forward of the delivery and management of regeneration and economic growth projects. 

 

This is a full-time permanent position and the successful candidate will be offered: 

A starting salary of £24,496 - £26,845 


Requirements of the position:
  • Excellent organisational and administration skills 
  • Extensive experience of minute taking and other associated office duties 
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office or Office 365 
  • Ability to follow processes and prioritise own workload 
  • Have an awareness of finance administration procedures
