The Service
The Strategic Estates Team is at the forefront of ensuring the Council has a fit for purpose property portfolio that meets the needs of the services it provides. The Team is responsible for developing and implementing the Strategy to deliver this.
The team is based at County Hall in Morpeth but works in an agile way with opportunities for remote and agile working.

The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and commercially aware Chartered Surveyor to join us to undertake a range of interesting and challenging work. This will involve providing a wide-ranging professional property management service for the acquisition, disposal and day to day management of commercial and residential property. The team is also involved in significant regeneration and infrastructure projects across Northumberland.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and enthusiastic team of property professionals within a friendly working environment.

This will be a Fixed Term contract expiring on 31 August 2024
The salary will be £42,403 per annum pro rata

Requirements of the role
  • You must have a degree level or equivalent qualification in real estate or property management
  • You must be a Member or Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with at least five years post qualification experience or working as a Chartered Surveyor.
  • This post involves travel throughout the County therefore you must have a valid UK driving Licence
