The Digital and IT service has big ambitions for change – we’re modernising the services we deliver, as well as the way we deliver them. We’re growing our Digital Team and are looking for people to help us shape our future.   

The Role 
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Digital Team. We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Delivery Manager to support the delivery of our digital roadmap.  
You’ll be working on designing and implementing new online services to improve the customer experience for our staff, and for Northumberland’s residents.

We’re looking for a person with a passion for using technology to solve problems, and who can lead and work with our digital teams to drive performance and ensure we achieve our goals.  

As a Senior Delivery Manager, you’ll be: 
  • An advocate for user centred design, and for ensuring that the things we deliver will release clear and continuous value, making a positive difference to our users.
  • Key to supporting our digital teams to achieve their goals, and for ensuring the high performance of our multidisciplinary teamscomprised of Council staff and 3rd party delivery partners. 
  • Core to shaping the ways of working which make the team more effective, and to helping them maintain motivation for the work. 
  • Confident at delivering complex IT and Digital services, breaking down barriers for the team and both planning at a higher level, as well as getting into the detail to make things happen when needed. 
  • Experimenting with ideas and techniques that make teams high performing, interpreting them for our context and adapting them as you measure their effect.

This is a full-time (37 hours) position on a 12 month fixed term contract. The role will be based at County Hall, Morpeth.
