ROLE OF THE JOB

The successful candidate will be scheduling within the Repairs and Maintenance Department for the Blyth West area. You will be responsible for monitoring operatives and work across a housing stock for the area of approximately 3,000 properties.

The Blyth West Team consists of 12 operatives and 3 apprentices that are in place to deal with any repairs across all areas. We also deal with multiple external companies and contractors.

We are looking for someone that is well organized and is keen to be a vital part of this team.

The successful candidate will also be expected to cover other areas (Blyth North, Blyth South, Alnwick and Gas), alongside the other schedulers due to any absences.

The candidates must be able to;

  • Create and maintain schedules for teams.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure resources are available and timelines are met.
  • Monitor progress and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes or delays.
  • Communicate updates to team members.
  • Use scheduling software or tools.
  • Ensure compliance with deadlines, budgets, and regulations

 

REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Problem-solving and adaptability.
  • Technical proficiency in scheduling tools and software.
  • Analytical thinking to forecast and optimize schedules.
  • Be willing to undertake any necessary training to benefit the needs of the service.
