An exciting opportunity to help make a positive difference to the lives of children and young people in Northumberland, including those with Special Educational Needs has arisen in the School Organisation and Resources Team at Northumberland County Council.
The School Organisation and Resources Team is based within the Education and Skills Group in the Council, and includes responsibilities for the commissioning of special school places and school place planning.
Reporting to the SEN Commissioning and Place Planning Officer, the SEND Commissioning and Administrative Assistant will support the effective commissioning of places with special schools in the county through a range of processes. The other key aspect of this role is to support the School Organisation and Resources Assistant with the production of robust pupil data and information to enable effective pupil place planning, which is a statutory function.
The post is a full-time permanent role, Band 4 starting salary of £22,369 to £24,054. The organisation has a “hybrid working” model, which allows an agreed percentage of time working from home as department needs allow. The post host holder must be able to meet the working arrangements of the post.
We are looking for someone with proven communication and numerical skills who can work as an effective team member, whilst also working independently to meet priorities. Having a flexible attitude to accommodate work loads and the ability to work under pressure are also key attributes of the role.
