Opened in 2006, Northumberland Supported Living Service (Sea Lodge) is a CQC registered service, currently rated as Good, which provides nurse led support to two adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. Service users have secured tenancy agreements and live in a large, adapted bungalow within its own grounds with breathtaking views overlooking a private beach on the Northumberland coastline.
We are looking for a caring, self-motivated Registered Nurse to join our positive and cohesive team at Sea Lodge. You must have strong clinical judgement skills and the ability to lead and support a staff team to provide individualised, person centred support to service users to enable them to live a fulfilled life, whilst ensuring risks are managed.
Candidates should have experience with challenging behaviours and be able to work both on their own initiative and within a team. Experience of leadership and supervision of staff would be beneficial. It is essential that the candidate has experience working as learning disability nurse. This is a full time (37 hours), permanent position. NCC Band 7 salary (34,314-37,938).
There is a requirement to work day shifts (typically 3 x 12.5 hour shifts from 07.45 to 20.15) on a rotational basis. The nursing team are very accommodating and working 3 days a week can offer a fulfilling work life balance.
