About the Role
The Procurement Officer role is part of the Energy Category within the Corporate Commissioning and Procurement service. The role involves managing effective relationships with utility and framework providers, ensuring contracts are delivered compliantly, performance is benchmarked, and value for money is achieved. You will support the ongoing refinement of key processes, maintaining robust checks and accurate data across the service.
A core part of the role is the validation and payment of utility invoices, ensuring meter readings and charges align with contracted rates. You will also resolve complex billing queries, including disputed charges, and ensure all outstanding balances are repaid in full.
You will lead the delivery of the Energy SLA, including the apportionment of utility charges for shared supplies within public buildings. The role also acts as an escalation point for complaints, working closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure clear, timely, and accurate communication.
