Prevention and Early Help Worker

Job Information

Do you have a passion to ensure that children, young people and their families are supported effectively in a sector that aims to identify and address needs early and to make sure children and their families get the right support at the right time?  Then you might be the right person to join our Prevention and Early Help Team.

Contract Type: 12-month fixed term

Employment Location: Alnwick Family Hub, County Hall, within Locality bases and Home Working in a hybrid arrangement

Working Pattern: Full time

Early Help Assessments (EHAs) and Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings are designed to be used by any universal service who come into contact with children, young people and their families. Partner agency use of the EHA and TAF processes is essential in ensuring early identification of need and effective plans for support.

As a Prevention and Early Help Worker, you will have your own locality area and named settings to support.  You will link in with partner agencies, such as early years settings, education providers and health, supporting them to initiate EHAs and lead TAF meetings.  You will also work with Early Help First Contact and the family hubs to enable access to robust Early Help offers across the continuum of Early Help.

As a Prevention and Early Help Worker you will be key in ensuring that partner agencies feel confident in addressing the needs of children, young people and their families when they are identified.  You will work with a wide range of services to achieve this, including Northumberland Inclusive Education Service, The Virtual School, Harrogate and District Foundation Trust 0-19 service, Primary Mental Health Teams, Early Help Family Worker teams and more.
