Salary & Benefits 

  • £22,388 – £22,743 p/a– Basic salary
  • £4,375 p/a– Market force allowance** reviewed annually
  • £9,680 - £9,833p/a– Night and weekend enhancements
  • Approximate total starting salary: £36,443p/a (including allowances)

Enhancements apply between 8:00pm – 6:00am and weekends. These payments are additional to the basic salary.

Kyloe House provides a safe, structured and nurturing environment for young people aged 10–17 who have experienced significant challenges. We work in a trauma‑informed way, recognising each young person’s individual needs, strengths and potential. 

Our focus is on supporting young people to develop skills, resilience and confidence, helping them move forward positively in their lives. 

The Role – Night Care Officer 

As a Night Care Officer, you will: 

  • Provide a safe, supportive and calm environment for young people overnight
  • Monitor wellbeing and respond appropriately to any incidents or concerns
  • Maintain clear andaccuraterecords of observations and events
  • Support young people who may be unsettled during the night
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure effective handovers
  • Uphold safeguarding standards and follow all relevant policies and procedures

Eligibility Criteria: 

  • A good standard of education
  • Willingness to undertake training up to Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • This role does not meet UK Visa Sponsorship criteria

 

Useful Information 

Working Pattern 

  • Night shift pattern, working 22:30pm - 07:35am, including weekends and bank holidays

Disclosure Requirement 

  • Enhanced DBS checkrequired
  • This role is subject to safer recruitment and safeguarding checks
