Neighbourhood Services Area Manager

Job Information

ROLE OF THE JOB

You will work with local communities and other key stakeholder organisations to maintain and improve local environmental quality in Northumberland.

You will be responsible for managing a large team of around 100 staff including Senior Team Leaders, Team Leaders and Technical Officers and through them, the operational front-line staff in a designated area. You will be accountable for the effective performance and delivery of the following functions: Kerbside waste and recycling collections, street cleaning, grounds maintenance, public toilets, cemeteries and Churchyards. 

REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

  • You will have significant experience of developing productive relationships with stakeholders, managing resources including depots, vehicle fleet and equipment and effectively managing large numbers of operational staff through others.
  • You will be focused on creating a safe working environment for all and delivering good quality, value for money services for our residents.
  • A full UK Driving Licence
