Job Information

ROLE OF THE JOB 

You will provide an efficient and effective refuse collection and recycling service to remove household, You will be responsible for a small team of street cleansing operatives, public convenience operatives, gardeners and grass cutters, providing clear guidance and motivating staff to achieve service objectives and quality standards.  
  
The ability to drive and operate a range of specialist vehicles to provide efficient and effective support.  
  
Ensure the safety of employees and the public in relation to the work undertaken including the safe use of all plant, equipment and tools as well as routine vehicle driver and equipment checks.  

 

REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB 

You will require a NVQ in Horticulture minimum level 3 or willingness to work towards within a prescribed timescale. You will have knowledge of legislation and regulations relating to driving. The ability to understand complex detailed spoken and written instructions, as well as the ability to keep accurate work records. Able to plan, organise and prioritise resources and staff, including own time.  
  
The successful candidate will be confident and competent with the use of computers and technology, guidance and system specific training will be provided.
