Job Information
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Licensing Support Officer to join our Licensing team. This is a varied supporting the delivery of licensing services across Northumberland, helping to ensure licences, permits and registrations are processed accurately and efficiently in accordance with statutory requirements.
Working within a small professional team and reporting to the Senior Licensing Officer, you will provide front-line support to customers, businesses and licence holders, responding to enquiries by telephone, email, online and in person. You will process licence applications, maintain statutory records and databases, administer payments and invoices, facilitate taxi driver knowledge tests, and support wider service improvement projects.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
- A good standard of general education demonstrating strong numeracy and literacy skills.
- Experience of working with the public, meeting deadlines and following statutory processes and procedures.
- Effective IT skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office and maintain accurate electronic records and databases.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and provide excellent customer service in a busy environment.
