ROLE OF THE JOB
We are looking for a Lawyer to join our diverse, busy and friendly legal team. If you are dynamic, dedicated and enthusiastic then we want to hear from you.
You will join the Regulation Team, one of three teams within legal services, expertise in civil litigation, in particular housing is essential, knowledge of housing disrepair would also be beneficial. Advocacy experience is preferred. General experience in criminal law would also be considered as there may be opportunities to undertake other areas of work.
You will have an eye for detail and good organisational skills which will enable you to carry a substantial workload. You should also be flexible and innovative in your approach and be able to work as part of a highly effective and valued team.
The post has a salary of between £48,710 to £52,805 (band 10) this will be paid pro rata as this is a part-time position (18.5 hours). This would also be a fixed term contract for 2 years.
The working arrangements are flexible, including the opportunity to work predominantly from home
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
The Council is looking for a qualified solicitor or barrister or fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives who holds a current practicing certificate.
