ROLE OF THE JOB

Working as part of a small team delivering repairs and maintaining the housing stock throughout Northumberland you will be expected to undertake;
  • General repairs and maintenance to housing stock, fitting kitchens, hanging doors, fencing, skirting architrave, repairing changing locks to doors and windows, cladding, facias soffits, flooring including joists, garage doors, bath panels & associated boxings.
  • Working at height ie scaffolds and off ladders.
  • Assist with other trades.
  • Multi skilled worker with knowledge and skills in small plumbing and plastering repairs.
  • To maintain works vehicle, keep in clean and tidy condition fill in logbooks as required.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB 
  • NVQ L3 (essential) - City & Guilds
  • Experience of working as a Joiner in the building trade all aspects of joinery
  • Experience of working for a Social Landlord, housing association or council (desirable)
  • Associated trade skills of plaster patching, minor plumbing works tiling etc.
  • Experience of delivering multi-trade work
  • Ensure that all work is carried out safely in line with H&S regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Good organisational skills
  • Experience of keeping jobs on track
  • The drive to ensure works are completed quickly and efficiently
  • Prepared to go on the on-call rota for out of hours repairs
  • Full clean driving License
  • As you will be working within Customer's homes this role requires a DBS check
