Head of Transactional Services    

Salary £73,511 - £82,100 per annum – Band 14 (pay award pending) 

Location: County Hall, Morpeth NE61 2EF

We are looking for a confident, committed & strategic leader to become our Head of Transactional Services.    

Our Head of Transactional Services will help to develop and continuously improve how we pay benefits to our residents, how we pay our suppliers, how we pay our staff and how we collect our income  

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Procurement, the Head of Transactional Services will lead the Transactional Services Team to ensure that effective and efficient transactional services are delivered to all of our residents, businesses, customers and staff. 

As part of the Council’s Senior Management Team, the Head of Transactional Services will work collaboratively with finance colleagues and other senior stakeholders to ensure that the services delivered will support the priorities outlined in the Council’s Corporate Plan and be a Council that works for everyone to benefit the people of Northumberland. 

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to own a new role and shape the future delivery of transactional services across the Council.

You will lead a number of teams and use your leadership and technical experience to make the service the best it can be.
