This is an exciting opportunity to provide senior leadership and drive in the Economic Development and Growth Directorate, which is leading the way in delivering a significant regeneration programme, driving new and innovative inclusive growth activities across Northumberland and playing an integral role in the devolution agenda and the development of the new Mayoral Combined Authority for the North East.

The County Council has clear plans to tackle inequality, deliver value for money for our residents and businesses and support economic growth. With a key role in realising these ambitions a priority for the Directorate and this role is the development and delivery of a comprehensive regeneration programme across the County, working with our towns and places to drive forward town and community regeneration and growth and managing a significant level of external funding, to delivery major improvements to our places, contributing to the pride of place for our residents and increased investment and visitors. The post holder will also lead the delivery of the Council's Asset Management Framework and the development and delivery of its Estates Strategy, to ensure the estate best supports the Council's corporate objectives and priorities for communities, as well as a capital delivery unit, delivering significant corporate and regeneration schemes across the County. This role will take a lead, working to the Director of Economic Development & Growth to manage this considerable portfolio and contribute to the overall leadership of the Economic Development and Growth Directorate.
