Role of the Job
We have about 8300 homes across Northumberland and a staff of approximately 40 staff to undertake all the repairs required to bring circa 50 voids a month back up to a lettable standard. Approx. 70% of our work is around Blyth & Cramlington but you could be working in Morpeth ,Alnwick Bulmer or Hexham.
You will be working Primarily in occupied properties undertaking EICRs and completing necessary repairs and upgrades. So good testing and fault-finding skills are essential. Experience of working in social housing is beneficial as is a flexible approach, Strong H&S focuses good Asbestos awareness and good communication skills.
You will be expected to work without direct supervision and you will need to liaise with customers and arrange works around their needs whilst maintaining productivity. Therefore, having a can-do attitude, and a desire to deliver a quality service to our customers is essential.
When required you will work with the damp and disrepair team or the minor works and voids team to deliver repairs and maintenance works identified by our property surveyors, /inspectors/estates team or customers in both occupied and void properties.
You will be provided with Test Equipment a van and a handheld on which to receive and complete works orders emails and phone calls. Power tools essential for the job are provided.

  • 18th edition
  • 2391 testing
  • Full valid UK driving licence
  • Physically Fit, able to access and work in lofts etc
