Do you have a passion to ensure that children, young people and their families are effectively supported in the right way at the right time? Then you might be the right person to join Northumberland's Early Help First Contact Team. 
Contract Type: Fixed term 18 months 
Employment Location: Foundry House - County Hall Morpeth - Home working in a hybrid arrangement  
Working Pattern: Full time 

First Contact is the initial point of contact for all new requests about children, young people and their families. We support vulnerable children who may benefit from early help services as well as children in need of social work support or protection. Early Help First Contact’s role is to receive referrals, gather information, signpost to services and make recommendations about thresholds for intervention. 
The Early Help Support Requests are a key part of Northumberland's Early Help offer.  This is a new post where you will have a significant role in offering short term telephone support to families that have been referred to Early Help First Contact.  These referrals come from a wide range of services such as; school, GP’s, police, social care, families. You will also hold virtual sessions on specific topics to support families around common themes. 
We are looking for someone who has a real passion and understanding of early help and universal services to work with families to identify solutions and other support routes before needs escalate.
