ROLE OF THE JOB
You will be working as part of a small, newly formed Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Team to help ensure the Council meets statutory requirements regarding the Public Sector Equality Duty whilst also contributing to the delivery of the Council’s Tackling Inequalities corporate priority.
In addition, you will be supporting the DEI Manager in provision of DEI advice and guidance across the Council whilst also contributing to the development of strategies and policies, ensuring that the council remains compliant with current DEI legislation under the Public Sector Duties of the Equality Act 2010.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about reducing inequalities and ensuring that the needs of our diverse and inclusive workforce and Communities are understood.
This is a full-time, permanent post. We apply a flexible, hybrid working model, with a primary base of County Hall in Morpeth.
