Northumberland Archives is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic team member to fulfil the role of Digitisation Assistant.
The postholder will support our digital activity by undertaking client orders, appending content to our electronic catalogue, digitising series of records to make them available for public consultation; adding and editing content within Reading Room;
preparing content to support exhibition, social media and volunteer activity, preparing
content for social media and supporting our digital preservation programme.
Post is part-time (21 hours per week).
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
· You will have a good general education.
· You will have strong IT skills.
· You will have a good knowledge of Photoshop.
· You will have experience of using digitization equipment.
· You will have a good knowledge of social media.
· You will have the ability to pay attention to detail.
· You will have the ability to plan your work and to keep to agreed timetables.
· You will have the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and with
volunteers.
· You will have the ability to work to deadlines.
