We are looking for a cook to join our team Hepscott Park Garden Café.
Hepscott Park Garden Café has a very pleasant atmosphere, and had built a good reputation, with plenty of regular customers.
- You will be responsible for running this busy and popular Café and doing most of the cooking.
- You will have an influence on menus and will be preparing some items fresh each day.
- You will work with an assistant cook and three catering assistants and you will be their line manager.
- You will have responsibility for the care and support of two people with learning disabilities / mental health needs who work as volunteers alongside Café staff.
- You will work 37 hours per week, using a shift system which includes working some Saturdays.
We are looking for someone with energy, enthusiasm and a passion for providing good, locally source food and excellent customer service.
Hepscott Park Carden Café is just off the A192 Morpeth to Cramlington road.
This is a Band 4 post, starting at £22,369 per annum and going up to £24,054 and this is a permanent contract.
Enhancements are payable for any weekend and /or bank holiday hours worked.

Requirements of the job:
You must have a basic food hygiene certificate and knowledge of the tasks and operation of catering tools and equipment.
You should be able to provide evidence of working in a kitchen, food preparation and cooking experience
Previous experience of working as a cook in a small Café would be an advantage
