The Service
Northumberland Telecare
Northumberland Telecare provides a service across Northumberland providing a range of Telecare equipment to enable service users to live independently in their own homes. We operate 24/7, every day of the year.
The Role
We are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to work both within our control room and out in the community providing a mobile warden service.
Control Room Operators respond to Telecare lifeline activations, assessing calls to ensure appropriate support is given. This may be re-assurance, signposting to another service or requesting support from emergency services.
Successful applicants must have excellent communications skills and be confident to deal with emergency situations often where the caller or client is in distress. Individuals should have a calm and empathetic approach when dealing with vulnerable clients both over the phone and face to face.
This is a permanent, part time (28 hour) position which involves working a variety of shifts including days, evening, nights and weekends. The salary for this role is £21,641 - £23,476 (£14.82 per hour).
