Community Hub Support Assistant (Catering Role)
15hpw - Monday to Friday (4pm - 7pm) 
Fixed Term until 31.03.29

As a Community Assistant (Catering), you'll work in our Learning Cafe to create a welcoming, user focused environment at our Community Hub in Newbiggin.

Your daily tasks will include:
  • Serving food and drinks in our cafe and bar
  • Basic food preparation and making coffees on our barista machine
  • Assisting with bookings and maintaining a friendly environment for all hub users
  • Carrying out light cleaning and safety tasks to keep the hub in great shape
  • Cash handling
  • Providing a great customer experience

We need people who are community-oriented, approachable, and ready to lend a hand wherever needed and you will have:
  • A good general education, numeracy, and literacy skills
  • Awareness of health and safety practices
  • Basic food hygiene knowledge or certification (desirable but not essential)
  • Bar and hospitality experience, including handling food and drinks (desirable but not essential)
