Care Worker (Adult Social Care) - Tynedale Centre, Hexham

Tynedale centre, Hexham supports adults with complex needs and aims to facilitate a variety of educational, social, therapeutic and employment opportunities to broaden life experiences and allow service users to exercise their right to self-determination and choice. The centre is open Monday - Friday, 9am - 4pm.
As a care worker you will help our service users enjoy a variety of engaging and enjoyable activities including:
- Swimming
- Horse-Riding
- Bowling
- Music therapy
- Gardening
- Sensory walks
Your support will enable them to participate fully and have fun!
This role is:
- Permanent
- 35 hours (Monday - Friday, 9am - 4pm)
- NCC Band 4 salary £22,980 - £24,574 (£12.59 per hour)
Role of the job:
- To support service users with their physical, personal and emotional care, to enable and promote independence so they can reach their full potential.
- Preparation and serving of meals / drinks
- Administer medication (appropriate training given)
- Support service users in accessing the community and arranging fun activities for them to engage with
- Communicating with service users and colleagues report writing and sharing of information
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure individual care plans are achieved/ reviewed
- Attend training, take part in appraisals, supervisions and team meetings.
